Step 3: Begin with clean hands and face and apply the moisturizer appropriate to your skin type. Allow your skin to moisturize for a few minutes, particularly if your skin is oily. Applying foundation to clean moisturized skin ensures you have a perfect base with which to work. Apply foundation at least ten minutes after moisturizing. If you do not allow the moisturizer to absorb into the skin, your foundation may come-off.
Step 5: This step is optional but you may find it beneficial. A light brushing of powder on your foundation sets the foundations thereby making it long lasting. If oil surfaces during the day, spot that area with a tissue and then apply a light dusting of powder.
